Anyone who has appeared in past “Wunderkind” exhibits may enter art in any media for an alumni exhibit to be held April 6-May 5 at the Business of Art Center, 513 and 515 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs. Contact Liz Szabo, or 685-1861 for information.

ARTSites 2012, a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit throughout the Tri-Lakes area, is seeking artists. Artists whose entries are accepted by the judges receive a $300 stipend. Mail digital entries to Tri-Lakes Views, P.O. Box 2564, Monument, CO 80132 by March 10. There is no fee to enter work. Information: 481-2769 or the Tri-Lakes Views site.

Finding Our Voices, which provides healing art events that support sexual abuse survivors and community awareness, will hold its sixth annual exhibit March 31-April 28 at Stargazers Theatre & Event Center, 10 South Parkside Drive. Survivors of sexual assault and their friends and allies may enter work in media including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, needlework and multimedia. Entry forms are due March 12; to request an entry form, email Art must be delivered to Stargazers 1-3 p.m. March 24 and 25. Entry fee is $10 per person for non-members.

Commonwheel Artists Co-op has an opening for a jeweler/metalsmith. Applications are available on the website or pick one up at 102 Cañon Ave., Manitou Springs, Completed applications, along with a CD or photos of five to 10 examples of your work, are due by 6 p.m. March 12. This is not a consignment situation; artists become active members of the co-op. Information: 685-1008.

Artists are welcome to submit entries for the images that will be used on posters for the 2012 Pro Cycling Challenge. Entries are due March 16 and it’s free to enter; see complete rules on the Challenge’s Facebook page.

Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts will hold “Predictions & Perceptions from the Spiritual Realm,” March 30-April 14. Artists are welcome to enter art in any medium that has affected you deeply, and/or carries deep spiritual meaning to you. Entries are due March 16, and non-member fees are: $30 for up to three entries; $5 for each additional entry, with a limit of six. 304 Highway 105, Palmer Lake, 481-0475.

Entries are being accepted for the fifth annual Butterflies & Friends Project. Artists may submit designs for large and small aluminum butterfly forms that will be displayed throughout Colorado Springs during the summer, then auctioned to raise funds for D-11 arts programs and the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs’ Community Service Fund. Designs are due March 21 and completed butterflies are due May 31; download the application from the site, where you can see examples from previous years. Artists will receive a materials stipend of $250 for a large butterfly, $150 for a small butterfly, plus 10 percent of the auction price.

Cottonwood Center for the Arts will celebrate National Poetry Month with “Art into Words,” an exhibit showcasing the collaboration of artists and poets, March 30-April 17. Artists are not limited to using works by local poets. All poems must be framed with a wire on the back for hanging in the gallery. Intake is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 22 and 23; fees are $15 for one piece or $25 for three works. Call 520-1899 or stop by 427 E. Colorado Ave. for more information.

Artwork that expresses the written word is needed for the annual “Art Aloud” series of shows at various locations throughout April. Pieces must be ready for hanging, with clean glass and wire for hanging. Work is due March 24; drop off at Academy Frame, 7620 N. Academy Blvd., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jurying takes place that afternoon, and work will be available for pickup 4-6 p.m., when artists will be assigned their venues. This year’s venues are: Academy Frame, the Business of Art Center, Dogtooth Coffee, Hooked on Books and Modbo/S.P.Q.R. More details forthcoming on the event’s Facebook page.

It’s time to start gearing up for the annual Pikes Peak Arts Fest, to be held June 30-July 2 at America the Beautiful Park, south of the Colorado Avenue Bridge, west of downtown. Artists and crafters are needed for this season’s Colorado Farm and Art Market. Applications are due March 31 and can be found on the website.

Green Horse Gallery will hold a theme show called “Once Upon a Time,” focusing on children’s literature and nursery rhymes. The juried exhibit will be up June 15-July 13, and entries are due 11 a.m.-6 p.m. June 8; all work must be ready to hang or display. Entry fee is $3 per entry for up to three entries. The opening reception will be 5-8 p.m. June 15 and two cash awards will be given: a juror’s choice and a people’s choice, with that winner announced July 6.
