The number one complaint that forms from the mouths of Texas surfers is not the desire for more consistent waves, but rather the need for more coverage and sponsorships. Is this you? It seems that Texas surfers are always vying for more sponsors.
Serious gulf coast surfers need look no further than the Atomic Omelette Surf Team tryouts! The Atomic Omelette Surf Team is looking to fill up around ten spots on their team, ranging from micro-groms to masters. This includes both Men's and Women's divisions. The team will welcome both shortboarders and longboarders to participate in the tryout event.
Tryouts will launch on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 10am in Corpus Christi, Texas. Judging will continue throughout the day well into the early evening (about 6pm) at the North Packery Channel Jetty on North Padre Island (or what some call Mustang Island). Being an all-day event, food and beverages will be available. All participants will be competing for a spot on the team to partake in the 2014/2015 Texas Gulf Surfing Association (TGSA) season starting in September. TGSA is a prestigious surfing organization that has been operational for over twenty-five years. Texas surfers wishing to make it to nationals can get a jumpstart by being part of the Texas surf community. Following the event, Atomic Omelette and Grill invites all spectators and participants to celebrate at the Atomic Omelette Surf Team year-end party. The party location is to be announced succeeding the tryouts.
