The fourth annual Deep Carnival is just around the corner, and that means, they’re now looking for participants. The Artists and Writers Group Inc (sponsors of the festival) will hold second round of “competitive auditions” for authors and readers at Tre Amici at the Bunker, St. Pete (www.yborbunker.com ), on August 18 and September 1st from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Writers interested in reserving a spot in the schedule for this, HCC Tampa’s annual premiere literary event, should contact David Audet at daudet@hccfl.edu
However, be aware, the first round of audition was last Thursday, August 12. I apologize for the oversight on this announcement; I was only just made aware of it. But if this is something you’d like to participate, get a move on, so you don’t miss the next two auditions.
Auditions are open for all ages artists and are free to attend. Participants will be given two minutes to read their original work, while finalist receive an additional two minute reading. Three participants at these individual auditions will be chosen to perform/read at this year’s festival, and an opportunity to compete for three cash awards, says Mr. Audet. Artists who have already been invited, have no need to audition. For more information, and to reserve your audition space again, contact David Audet at daudet@hccfl.edu
Deep Carnival will stage this year September 11th at the Ybor City Campus of Hillsborough County Community College.

Comments
Deep Carnival sounds like a great opportunity for Florida authors to get their work noticed.
