An online retailer may have revealed the existence of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” According to a post from the NeoGAF forum on Jan. 25, Amazon Germany has put up a pre-order page for the PC version of “Call of Duty 10.” The listing appears to be a placeholder due to the tentative title. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” will likely be the final name going by the recent trend of the alternating “Black Ops” to “Modern Warfare” brands. You can check out some screens from the recently-released “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” in the slideshow at the top of this article.
As the tentative title suggested, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” will be the tenth main game in the series. Activision stopped adding a number after the “Call of Duty” brand with the release of “Call of Duty: World at War.” Instead, they decided to expand on the “Modern Warfare” and “Black Ops” sub-branding instead with the newer releases.
