Additional details have been revealed in regards to the next “Call of Duty” video game, which is rumored to be named “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” According to a report from Gamepur on March 23, Sledgehammer Games provided a brief glimpse at one of the character models from the first-person shooter.
Eddie Makuch of GameSpot described the visual as “impressive” even though it was only shown for a second during the studio’s presentation at the Game Developers Conference. The software product is being built specifically for the PS4 and Xbox One. Activision has not yet confirmed if the same title would be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well.
The previously-released “Call of Duty: Ghosts” was criticized by not looking as good as other competing first-person shooters on next-generation consoles. It appears that Sledgehammer Games may be solving that particular problem with the upcoming title.
A potential insider recently stated that the unnamed upcoming video game will be set in the “Modern Warfare” universe, suggesting that the software product has a possibility of ending up being “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” The video game will be released later this year.
