GameStop has revealed some details in regards to the upcoming Onslaught DLC for the recently-released cross-generation video game, “Call of Duty: Ghosts.” According to a report from Segment Next on Jan. 11, the expansion will come with new multiplayer maps, weapon as well as another episode to the extinction mode.

The new competitive areas are named Bayview, Containment, Fog and Ignition. Players will also receive the Maverick AR and Sniper Rifle as a bonus in addition to the “Episode 1: Night Fall” expansion for the extinction mode.

The Onslaught DLC will be released first for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of “Call of Duty: Ghosts.” The expansion pack will be made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on Jan. 28th with a potential price tag of $14.99. Customers can save money if they planned on buying all of the DLC by purchasing the season pass.

Activision and Microsoft currently have an existing deal that gives the Xbox platforms timed-exclusivity over expansion packs for the “Call of Duty” series. As a result, the PC, PS3 and PS4 versions of “Call of Duty: Ghosts” won’t be getting the Onslaught DLC until later.

Although the first-person shooter also came out for the Wii U, Activision has not yet announced any plans to release expansion packs for Nintendo’s latest home gaming console. You can check out some screens of the software product in the slideshow to the left of this article.
