According to a report today from VG 24/7, Call of Duty: Ghosts will only all up to 12 multiplayer gamers per match on the current-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, or six-on-six, rather than nine-on-nine in previous games.
The tightened match play has been found listed on the back of Call of Duty: Ghosts boxes for the Xbox 360 and PS3, along with Xbox.com, according to the report.
The game will also require a 3GB download for its optional single-player campaign mode, which could force those with 4GB Xbox 360s to turn to external hard drives for adequate space.
Activision community manager Dan Amrich said aside from the 3GB single-player download, gamers who want to play the DLC map Freefall will need an additional 250MB of hard drive space.
In other Call of Duty news, Infinity Ward said this week that all their focus will be on the release of Ghosts, and that a Modern Warfare 4 isn’t on the horizon.
