On August 14 Activision revealed new details about the multiplayer mode of “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” and one of the new features has female gamers bursting at the seems with excitement. According to an article published by USA Today, gamers can now choose between a male or female soldier in “Call of Duty: Ghosts.”

The “Call of Duty” series is known to give players the ability to customize their in-game character, but female players have always been forced to settle with a male model. Female gamers relied on calling cards and clan tags to let other players know that they were in fact female, but it seems “COD: Ghosts” will solve that problem.

In a video posted on YouTube by GamesHQMedia, gamers got a glimpse of the brand new female avatar at 2:39 minutes into the video.
