During Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference on Aug. 20, Microsoft and Infinity Ward officially announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers on the Xbox One. Dedicated servers on Xbox One are possible thanks to Xbox Live Cloud, Infinity Ward stated.
Mark Rubin, Executive Producer at Infinity Ward, continued to share that dedicated servers for Call of Duty: Ghosts guarantees that the best multiplayer experience will be on Xbox One. Furthermore, all downloadable content for Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 first.
Aside from the dedicated server reveal, Infinity Ward also announced an all-new game mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts called Blitz Mode.
Blitz mode will have players attacking and defending zones on each end of a map. Once a player makes it the designated zone on the opposing end, their team will score a point and are immediately sent back to their end of the map.
Expect to hear more about Blitz Mode as the week continues.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on Nov. 5.
