The new Call of Duty: Ghosts co-op mode titled "Extinction" leaked Sunday but Activision and Infinity Ward made the official reveal today with a new trailer for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC shooter.
Extinction picks up the vibe from the popular Zombies mode in Treyarch's Black Ops series but throws in a twist by telling an alien invasion tale as a team of players attempt to repel wave after wave of aliens and attempt to destroy their hives.
"Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces Extinction," the trailer's official description reads. "[A]n all-new 1-4 player cooperative game mode featuring a unique blend of fast-paced survival action, FPS base defense, scavenging and class leveling."
The character classes identified from the leak include the tank, weapon specialist, medic, and engineer. There are also various perks and specialty items that can be earned through gameplay or found on the map.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches Nov. 5 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC followed by the PS4 version on Nov. 15 and the Xbox One version on Nov. 22.
