"Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update," Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin wrote on Twitter. "[B]ut wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4. We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can’t wait for next week's launch."
This news follows confirmation earlier this week that Battlefield 4 runs at 720p on the Xbox One as well but 900p on the PS4. However, initial indications were that the Xbox One version had "crisper" details due to a built-in hardware scalar. The PS4 scalar did not appear to perform as well but that will not be an issue with Call of Duty: Ghosts.
