It is now less than a week before Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to launch on current-gen systems. According to a post from the official Playstation Blog on Oct 30, however, Playstation 3 owners who have purchased the game digitally can get a jump on downloading the game as the next installment of the popular first-person shooter franchise can be pre-loaded on the PS3 beginning this Sunday.
This will only allow gamers to have the game downloaded, they won’t be able to actually play Call of Duty: Ghosts until the game officially launches on Tuesday. This will allow fans to be able to have the game ready to go as soon as it goes live instead of having to wait to install the title on launch day since download times, varying on a user’s connection, can take a large amount of time
Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on Nov 5 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Next-gen version of the game will also launch later this year on Xbox One and Playstation 4.
