A UK retailer posted listings for the unannounced Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS3 and Xbox 360 on Wednesday. There is also pre-order information in an upcoming Target advertisement suggesting that the game will be announced soon.

A now pulled Tesco listing spotted by AGB shows box art and pre-orders for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts. The release date is listed as Dec. 30, 2013 which is what retailer's typically put down as a placeholder.

Meanwhile, the Blu-ray forum shows a pre-order listing for Call of Duty: Ghosts in the May 5 sales circular from Target with the game releasing on Nov. 5, 2013. This release date appears to be likely as it is around the time frame that previous games in the Call of Duty series has been released.

The appearance in the May 5 circular for Target indicates that Activision will formally announce the game later this week or next week.

Details on Call of Duty: Ghosts is obviously light at this moment but it is expected to be a continuation or side story of the Modern Warfare saga with a focus on British special forces operative, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. The game is being developed by Modern Warfare veteran studio, Infinity Ward, according to the box art.
