‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’ million dollar championship qualifiers begin today (Photos)

The official “Call of Duty” Twitter account announced yesterday that the first “Black Ops 2” qualifying bracket that will allow a team of four Xbox players a chance to enter a championship tournament sponsored by Microsoft and featuring a $1 million grand prize will take place tonight. The tourney itself will take place this spring and will pit 32 teams from around the globe to see who the best “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” players in the world are.

All North American bracket qualifiers for determining who will compete in the million dollar “Black Ops 2” championship this April will be hosted by Major League Gaming who will broadcast each match. The first qualifier takes place tonight and can be viewed at 7pm ET on MLG’s “Call of DutyTwitch.tv page.

Of the 32 teams to compete, eight team slots are reserved for players from the United States. These slots will be chosen from the top eligible teams from the Champions Series, Master Division on Xbox 360 will qualify for the Call of Duty Championship.
