Treyarch announced yesterday evening that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” will have a double weapon experience event starting today and continuing through Monday morning. The event is to celebrate this past week’s Xbox 360 release of the game’s first DLC add-on, Revolution. In addition to more multiplayer maps and a new zombie game mode, Revolution added the first ever DLC acquired weapon to the “Call of Duty” franchise.

The Peacekeeper gun is a hybrid between an SMG and an assault rifle. With the addition of the Peacekeeper weapon, Treyarch is turning on double weapon experience all weekend long to allow fans the opportunity to level up their skill in the new gun for “Black Ops 2.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is out now for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo’s Wii U. The Revolution DLC is currently only available to download for Xbox 360.
