Treyarch announced on Sunday that the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” Double XP weekend event that was originally scheduled to end this morning will be extended until early Tuesday. The even allows fans to earn twice as much experience while playing the popular first-person shooter’s multiplayer mode on all systems.
A likely reason for the Double XP event’s extension is due to the Xbox Live connectivity problems that gamers experience over the past weekend. Since many Xbox 360 players would have thus been unable to take part in the Double XP weekend, Treyarch has extended the event into the week for all systems.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is out now on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Nintendo’s Wii U. The game’s first DLC pack is now available for download on all systems except the Wii U. The title’s next add-on will be releasing as a timed Xbox 360 exclusive later this month and will add a new zombie story campaign.
