The Apocalypse DLC for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which was made available a month ago for Xbox 360 owners, will finally be heading to the Playstation 3 and PC later this month. As confirmed by Joystiq on Sept 4, the latest add-on will be releasing on Sept 26 for PS3 and PC.
As the last Season Pass DLC, Apocalypse gives fans access to more multiplayer maps in addition a brand new zombie campaign. Entitle Origins, this undead mode is described as Dieselpunk and rewrites the history of the First World War by adding zombies and mad scientists to the conflict.
While the add-on was previously released on Xbox 360, the Apocalypse DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches on the Playstation 3 and PC on Sept 26. Like all of the game’s DLC, however, Apocalypse won’t be releasing on the Wii U even though the game did release on Nintendo’s latest console. The add-on is the final offering from the title’s Season Pass and can also be purchased separately for $14.99.
