After a leak led Activison and Sledgehammer Games to unveil the new era of “Call of Duty” titled “Advanced Warfare” two days early, even more details about the upcoming release have become available. According to a press release published by Activision on Friday, “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” is now available for pre-order.

The press release states that fans can begin pre-ordering their copies of “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” today. Both Amazon.com and Gamestop.com have “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” listed for pre-order for $59.99 on six different gaming platforms. Those platforms include PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and PC download.

The first official trailer for “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” was released on YouTube in the very early hours of Friday morning after it was leaked ahead of schedule. It opened up to the voice of Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey, whose voice and likeness were used in “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,” and gave gamers a sneak peek at what they can expect in the next edition of “Call of Duty.”

“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” is reportedly set in 2054 at a time where an attack on the worlds infrastructure has crippled militaries, and left humanity in peril. Gamers will be soldiers that are a part of a private military corporation that has risen to power to rescue humanity. These soldiers will be outfitted with a cutting-edge exoskeleton and high-tech gear as they work to restore order.

“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” is the 11th title released in the “Call of Duty” franchise since 2003. It will be the first collaboration between Activision and Sledgehammer Games, which recently joined the yearly rotation with Infinity Ward and Treyarch, released in the series.

Some gamers are skeptical that “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” will indeed be a “new era” for the “Call of Duty” franchise, but many are hopeful. “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” is set to launch on November 4, 2014.
