Call for art for the IASD 30th annual dream conference: Deadline April 5, 2013

Attention Bay Area Artists! A juried exhibition of dream-related works will be displayed in conjunction with "Dream Castles in the Sand;" the 30th annual conference of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) at the Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center at the Virginia Beach, Virginia, June 21 – June 25, 2013.

Please submit original art work about or inspired by dreams. You do not need to be a member of IASD or conference attendee to participate in the Dream Art Exhibition. All two-dimensional and multi-dimensional media will be considered, including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, video, and installation art.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: April 5, 2013
(until midnight Eastern US time)

The exhibition will be curated by Donna Iona Drozda, Virginia Beach artist, author, educator, and Owner of Wren House Studio in Virginia Beach.

All work accepted for the show will be added to the IASD online dream art galleries, unless you specifically request that we not do so. Artists whose work is accepted will be required to provide printed versions of their artist statements and biographies, as well as high resolution printed documents of images and dream text for the gallery catalogue upon delivery. Detailed instructions will be included with the acceptance notices.

Art awards. Cash awards will be offered for works chosen from among those accepted for display at the conference, unless the artists specifically ask to have their works withdrawn. First prize is $1000; other prizes will be determined at a later date.
