In California, the lack of snow and high temperatures could push back the season a bit in Lake Tahoe. Right now it appears the first California ski resort to open for the 2013-14 season will take place Thursday, Nov. 7 at Mammoth Mountain.
Mammoth will celebrate its 60th anniversary this year with these related prices:
• Lift tickets Thursday-Monday (Nov 7-11) are $60
• $60 off Stays at the Mammoth Lodging Collection property
In addition to the savings, there’s quite a lineup of events planned. Full lineup is available on the website; the highlights include:
• Live performances from LA Riots, DJ Kilmore of Incubus, Shiny Toy Guns and Z-trip
• Movie Premieres of Partly Cloudy and Naturally
• Opening day part at the new Underground Lounge in the Village and a whole lot more
Mammoth will kick off its opening weekend with its traditional Broadway Express banner breakthrough, a speech by Mammoth CEO, Rusty Gregory, and the annual toast.
