California's Great America hosted a VIP Preview Thursday of the new Great America Pavilion. The 18,000 square foot multi-purpose facility will be the home of the San Francisco 49ers’ Red Zone Rally pregame events for all home games, in addition to other events at the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Located on a two-acre facility adjacent to the Great America theme park and Levi’s Stadium, the pavilion features 37 monitors, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity, audio and video capabilities, a fabulous floor to ceiling stone fireplace and can be sectioned off into three unique venues. In addition to the official Red Zone Rally events, Great America expects to host corporate meetings, catered events, live entertainment, product launches and holiday parties.

Invited guests to the preview of the new Great America Pavilion were able to view the fabulous state-of-the-art facility showcased in a number of sample settings, such as a holiday party complete with a talented pianist and appearances from Snoopy and Charlie Brown, a business meeting with 49er motif and a dance party hosted by a live DJ. Guests were also treated to an impressive selection of hors d’oeurves and refreshments.

The first Red Zone Rally event at Great American Pavilion will be held prior to the inaugural preseason opener August 17, with the San Francisco 49ers hosting last season’s AFC Champion Denver Broncos, led by star quarterback Peyton Manning. The following week, the 49ers will host the San Diego Chargers before completing the preseason schedule August 28 against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in Houston.

The highly anticipated first regular season home game at the new Levi’s Stadium is a Sunday evening matchup against the Chicago Bears. Other important home games in the upcoming 2014 NFL season are October 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs led by former 49er quarterback Alex Smith and arguably the most important game of the year, with the San Francisco 49ers hosting division rival and Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

One of the Bay Area’s favorite family destinations, Great America theme park offers a number of thrill ride,s such as Gold Striker, tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Northern California, family rides like the world famous Carousel Columbia, the Boomerang Bay Water Park, KidZville and other great entertainment on 100 acres.

Saturday August 2 is Great America’s Guest Appreciation Day, featuring $1 hot dogs, $1 cotton candy, $1 popcorn, $1 ride photos on Flight Deck and Gold Striker thrill rides, several $1 games and more. At night, Great America will present the 1980s comedy “Back to the Future” on a 32-foot screen. The theme park will also continue to present its Fireworks Spectacular on Friday and Saturday evenings through August.
