California lottery jackpot at $20 million

The SuperLotto Plus jackpot for Feb. 9 has reached $20 million, the California Lottery Commission announced Saturday.

The estimated after-tax value of the jackpot is $14.2 million.

Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday after ticket selling ends at 7:45 p.m. PST.

The jackpot was at $19 million on Feb. 7, but no one bought tickets that matched the winning jackpot numbers.

Prizes range in size from $1 to the jackpot prize.

"Pick five lucky numbers from 1 to 47 and one MEGA number from 1 to 27 on a SuperLotto Plus playslip," according to the rules of play. "Or, play randomly generated numbers with Quick Pick."

Tickets cost $1 each.
