California GOP creates phony health care website to confuse residents

See also

The California Republican Party has posted a sham Obamacare website that intentionally subverts California's efforts to encourage uninsured people to get insurance through the state's online exchange, Covered California.

A handful of Assembly Republicans have been sending out very official-looking fliers that claim to be a "Resource Guide" for Californians, which points Californians not to the official Covered California website, but to the fake website. Other Assembly Republicans feature the fake website prominently on their government-financed Assembly home pages.

Click on the Assembly Republican website and it proceeds to mislead their constituents, sow fear and confusion, and divert Californians away from the state's legitimate website.

According to a district-by-district breakdown, the state's 25 Assembly Republicans have 2.1 million uninsured residents age 64 and younger in their districts.

California is one of 14 states with their own exchanges, nearly all of which are having great success enrolling people in Obamacare.

If Obamacare is so bad, why do you have to lie and cheat to make your point? (Hey at least they're refreshingly honest about their views on rape.)
