The alleged California cop killer, Christopher Dorner, could face the death penalty. ABC News reported on Feb. 11, if Christopher Dorner is caught and convicted, he could face the death penalty just for the shooting death of Riverside police officer Michael Crain.
It is unknown what charges or sentences Christopher Dorner could face for the murder of Monica Quan and her fiance Keith Lawrence. It is believed that Christopher Dorner also shot and killed the couple on Feb. 3 near their in Irvine, Calif.
The search for the California cop killer had been concentrated in the area near Big Bear. That search was declared a failure and a $1 million reward for information that leads to the capture and conviction of Christopher Dorner.
With the announcement of the reward, it is believed that more and more people will come forward to help find the California cop killer. Even Charlie Sheen is attempting to help find Christopher Dorner. The actor reached out to Dorner in a taped message, before the reward was offered, asked the California cop killer to call him.
Although Christopher Dorner has ties to Oklahoma, there has been no evidence brought forward to lead searchers to think he has returned to the Sooner State. The California cop killer had been stationed in Enid when he served in the military.
