Only a couple hours have passed since the launch of the first day in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic on the Red River in Shreveport, La.; but the BASS Trakk system is already running.
Thus far, as the BASS Track tallies the bass and the weight of the fish in the livewells, California's qualifiers both sit in the top-10.
According to the BASS Track stats:
At just after 9:30 a.m. CT, the Tackle Warehouse pro from Arroyo Grande Jared Lintner currently sits in 6th place for 6-lbs, 7-oz with only two bass in the boat. Lintner trails the leader Randy Howell by only 4-lbs, 11-oz.
Delta local Ish Monroe is holding down 9th place with three for 5-lbs, 4-oz.
Of the 49 Bassmaster Elite contenders, three have a limit and two anglers Randy Howell and John Crews have begun to cull. Howell's culled one bass that weighed a about a pound and a quarter and Crews has culled four fish that have totaled just under 6-lbs.
The first day of fishing continues through 3 p.m. and the weigh-in will begin at 4:30 p.m. CT.
