According to the Canadian Curling Association on Friday, Calgary will host the 2015 Tim Horton's Brier from February 28-March 8.

The 2015 Tim Horton's Brier will be significant because for the first time there will be a Team Canada on the men's side. That means the 2014 Tim Horton's Brier champion will get an automatic berth into the Canadian national curling championship.

The other major change that will be instituted at the 2015 Tim Horton's Brier is that there will be a qualifying tournament to determine two of the teams.

Calgary will also be hosting the 2015 Continental Cup at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park from January 8-11.

The 2014 Brier is scheduled to take place in Kamloops, British Columbia with the winner representing Canada at the 2014 World Curling Championship in Beijing. The 2014 Continental Cup will take place on American soil for the first time. The location will be Las Vegas, Nevada.

The town of Banff (an hour west of Calgary) meanwhile will be hosting the next big Canadian curling tournament. The All-Stars Skins Game will take place from January 10-12.
