Calgary Flyers win at Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament

According to the Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament website, the Calgary Flyers got back to the .500 mark with a victory on Friday in the Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary.

Tess Adams registered a multi-point game for the Flyers as they defeated the Northern Cougars, out of Prince George, British Columbia, by a score of 3-2 in the ladies' division.

Adams scored the first goal for the Flyers to pull the Calgary team within a goal late in the first period after the Northern Cougars scored the opening two goals of the contest. Then the Flyers scored twice in the third period to tie and win the game. Brittney Sawyer scored the game winning goal for the Flyers from Jessica Squires.

The Flyers rebounded nicely in the game after losing their tournament opener by a score of 2-1 to the Edmonton Thunder on Boxing Day. The Flyers will next play the Winnipeg Ice tonight at the Max Bell Centre. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
