The Paso Robles, CA Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in finding the culprit(s) who reportedly who set fire to a 5-month old steer housed in the agricultural barn at the Paso Robles High School on October 26th.
According to authorities, the tragedy was reported by an unnamed source who said that his teenage son went to went to feed the calf, when he found it severely injured. It is not expected to survive. The reporting party stated his juvenile son is a student at the high school and member of the National Future Farmers of America Organization.
Detectives from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Rural Crimes Unit and San Luis Obispo County Division of Animal Services, along with staff from the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, are now examining evidence found at the scene, and are asking anyone who might have information leading to the apprehension of anyone connected to the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 805 549-STOP (7867).
