According to reports from the Associated Press on Jan. 7, Oregon man, Caleb Grotberg (32) choked his girlfriend with his dreadlocks during a heated argument. After the attack, the woman called the police.
When they arrived, Grotberg had already fled the scene. He didn’t get away though. Police caught up to him a short while later.
Charges being brought against Caleb Grotberg for his dreadlocks assault on his girlfriend include: second-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and domestic violence.
One neighbor commented on the domestic violence incident:
"It's sickening that someone could have such anger in them, strangling with their own hair? I mean strangulation period, you have a lot of anger, but it's shocking that someone like that would be on our street,"
