While en route, deputies were advised a truck, driven by Brandon J. Phillips, 32, 129 Clydes Lane, Grand Lake, was observed stealing an aluminum boat on a trailer from the business. The caller was able to get a detailed description of the truck in which Phillips fled. Moments later, deputies located Phillips and the stolen boat and arrested him without incident.

The stolen boat was recovered by deputies and returned to the business.

Phillips was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with criminal trespass; simple criminal damage to property under $500; and theft over $1,500.

His bond is still pending.
