Buddy Valastro of "Cake Boss" and his friends had to be rescued. They were on a boat and out when a big fog rolled into the area. On Sunday, CNN shared the news about what happened. They were in his 32-foot Boston Whaler out in the New York Harbor when it all went down.

Police received a call about them being stranded. Fire and police were both out there to help him out and find the boat. Buddy spoke out about it saying, "People were scared. I didn't know which way to look -- left, right. I couldn't even see in front of me." He was on the water with his wife, another couple they know and nine children total. Some of the kids got really sick and even threw up.

Buddy went on saying, "I'm thinking it's dark... We wind up going into this deep, deep fog where you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you. We started to get really scared." They had another boat coming toward them and tried to flag it down but he doesn't think they ever even saw him. It was a really scary situation. His wife was pretty shook up and Buddy tweeted teasing that he will actually check the weather next time.

The fire department wanted to help them out and didn't even know who he was or anything. They were just doing their job. Buddy spoke out saying, "I want to bake them a cake. I want to do something good for them. They didn't even realize who I was until the end. It was all business. I'm not the kind of guy to say, 'I'm the Cake Boss. The Cake Boss in distress. May Day." These guys were probably a little shocked when they realized who they saved on the New York Harbor on a foggy day.
