This year’s line-up at Cain Park celebrates a number of milestones

There is a slew of stuff to celebrate at Cain Park this year. To begin with, Nickel Creek will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with their sole Northeast Ohio performance on July 18. Jim Brickman will be by to celebrate his 20 years of music in his own hometown on July 19. The Beatles reach 50 years with a live concert by “Classic Albums Live” who will be performing “Abbey Road” live one stage, note for note, cut for cut on August 2. The Heights High School Barbershoppers will be celebrating their first place in the nation honors at the International Youth Chorus Barbershop Festival as they open for the modern Canadian acapella group “Eh440”. Lastly, Cain Park celebrates the power of the musical with Stephen Sondheim’s biting show “The Frogs” that will be performed July 31 through August 17.

Along with the celebrations, Tori Amos will be making her Cain Park debut on August 7 as she tours for her latest album, “Unrepentant Geraldines”. Crowd favorite “The Average White Band” returns this year with a different partner as “The Family Stone Band” shares the show with them on June 20. After a fourteen year absence, Natalie MacMaster returns on June 22 with a new show “The Masters of Fiddle” featuring another master fiddler, Husband, Donnell Leahy. Award winning songwriter Advid Francey returns to Cain Park on June 19 with special guest Ashley Condon.

To round out the national acts for this season, Cain Park will also welcome returning favorites: “Carolina Chocolate Drops” (June 12), Judy Collins (June 14), BlackViolin (June 28), Diane Reeves (July 17), Arlo Githrie (July 27) and Michael Stanley and the Resonators (August 9).
