Feeling tired? It must be Fatigue Syndrome Day tiring you out. While ailments such as chronic fatigue are serious business, the lighter side of feeling worn out is finding quick pick-me-ups to shake off the tired feeling. Legitimate suggestions for a quick feel better:
- A quick nap (15 to 30 minutes max)
- Take a mental health day to catch up on the ‘to do’ list weighing you down
- Cancel appointments for the day for relaxation
- Do something special for yourself
- Exercise is good for the soul
- Get a breath of fresh air
Of course some turn to caffeine for a boost when exhaustion weighs heavily upon the soul. One of my personal favorite coffee cocktail treats is Van Gogh Double Espresso Double Caffeine sipped neat or on the rocks with its added caffeine. Three Olives also brings triple threat to the cocktail venue with Three Olives Triple Espresso; perfect for cocktail creation. Add in the seductive properties of Godiva for a wee amount of chocolate and soon the luxurious taste sweeps one away to la la land.
Chocolate Café Noir – created by The Intoxicologist
1-1/2 ounce Three Olives Espresso Vodka
1 ounce Chambord
1/2 ounce Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1 ounce Half and Half
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake for 15 – 20 seconds. Strain into a well chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with skewered raspberries.
