On Saturday, May 21st Caffe Lena will celebrate the 70th birthday of their most famous alum, the incomparable, songwriting legend Bob Dylan.
Bob Dylan performed at Caffè Lena in 1960 and 1961, playing sets of traditional songs rather than the most notable anthems he was soon to release. Dylan's presence at Caffè Lena is felt in the profound influence that was absorbed by songwriters who followed him onto the Caffe Lena stage, inspiring five decades of personal reflection and powerful poetry.
Performers include: Annie & Jon Rosen, Michael Eck & Phil Drum, Streetcorner Holler (Mark Tolstrup & Dale Haskell), Kyle Miller, Dyer Switch Band, Jo Henley, Tern Rounders, Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys and "Melick, Moody & McKrell."
Join in the celebration and welcome a host of regional musicians to play Dylan's best loved songs, and raise funds to support Caffé Lena on the occasion of the venue's 51st anniversary. The show will be held at Skidmore College's Dance Theater at 8pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
Happy Birthday Bob!
