Cady McClain confirms: Dixie Martin will be back on ‘AMC’ revival (Photos)

Rumors swirled this week that Cady McClain would join on for the Prospect Park Internet revival of “All My Children.” McClain confirmed on her website on Feb. 7 that Dixie Cooney Chandler Martin is indeed headed back to Pine Valley.

McClain’s blog post said:

“Since word got out that AMC/PP [All My Children/Prospect Park] contacted me, I thought it was best to wait a bit until I confirmed it out of respect for the fact that I am still sorting out the details of the situation. However, I feel confident in telling you that I will be part of the AMC Internet Re-boot.”

Cady McClain joins a handful of former “All My Children” who have confirmed that they will be part of the Prospect Park Internet revival of the former ABC soap opera. Others who have confirmed their return to Pine Valley include Vincent Irizarry as Dr. David Hayward, Debbi Morgan as Dr. Angela Hubbard, and Darnell Williams as Jesse Hubbard. Unfortunately, Jacob Young will not be part of the Internet reboot as JR Chandler. Young is under contract to “The Bold and the Beautiful” on CBS.

Now that Cady McClain has confirmed that Dixie Martin is on her way back to Pine Valley, will husband Tad Martin, portrayed by Michael E. Knight, be far behind? Fans can only hope that Prospect Park will reunite one of fans favorite “All My Children” super couples.

Fans are also hoping that the iconic Erica Kane will arrive back for the Prospect Park revival of “AMC,” but so far there are only rumors that Susan Lucci will return to reprise the role.
