‘So I just figured out a remote can actually turn on a TV, and now there is CUE’? RPK
OK, so I am a little slow here, but how many other customers are equally challenged or simply do not care about high-tech entertainment centers in cars? Admittedly, I led the renegade ‘Peoples War Against Automotive Buzzers’ in the early 1970’s, and now we have electronic ‘bongers’ instead of the shock therapy of yesteryear.
But then there is this law of supply and demand in which Cadillac has overachieved itself once again (competition beware). Enter the Cadillac XTS, which I loved at first sight at the NAIAS and SAE technical seminars. And, in the meantime Cadillac launches the new ATS and showing the new 2014 CTS in New York! Stay tuned, and don’t change your Cadillac Channel with your remote. So, why my year time lag?
I am confused, and I don’t like being confused. Perhaps we are so PC (Politically Correct) that we simply cannot give car models a name; Deville, Eldorado, Fleetwood and Seville which customers can always assimilate to. Instead we are dumbed down to 3-letter acronyms that are forever changing and losing that customer/brand identity.
Press Releases. pictures and words (like my own) do not give Cadillac proper justice. Seeing the new Cadillac models in the flesh actually does present a holistic visual which clarifies the Cadillac lineup. Thank You NAIAS and Lafontaine Cadillac.
Now that I can see and feel the models lined up, I can finally understand the product, albeit one year later. Rather than spew out a lot of technical information, I can become one with the Cadillac. After all, you are what you drive.
