The Cadillac Sixteen is a mysterious sports car meets ultra luxury vehicle that appeared for a short time as a concept vehicle, and then vanished into thin air amidst the chaos in GM the castle. What happened to the Cadillac Sixteen? Did it disappear into concept purgatory just waiting to be picked amongst the likes of EV1? Or is it making a return as the new XTS? Certainly not a replacement DTS, the Sixteen is truly lost in a ghost land of design's past. More importantly, what happened to the 32 valve, 13.6 liter beast of a sixteen cylinder engine?

As seen in previous tuning articles like Smoky Nagata V12 Toyota Supra, the ghost sixteen engine could have been used for ultra performance. Swaps into Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, and other JDM imports could have really opened a new world of top speed Wangan style racing. The engine alone is stated to produce 1,000 horsepower with out forced induction! As sports car enthusiasts, we demand this engine be produced! Think of the power that could be gained by using a forced induction system with this engine! Amazing!

Beautiful car.
Love to know what happened to this car and the drivetrain!
The Cadillac Sixteen fizzled out in 2005. They did put the sixteen's engine in a GMC Yukon(with a major govenor on it). After that, IDK?? I am sure it's a collector's item, now.
