This cache of the week, Birth Forest by PTPark, was just recently placed. Be one of the first people to come and collect this easy geocache with an interesting container. The parking is great, the find is straightforward and the kids will love getting a look at this type of container. Mine did! Remember to re-hide well.
While the container space is not big enough for many tradeables, it may be able to support a travel bug or a geocoin or two.
This cache is located in the Silver Springs Birth Forest. BP Energy Canada, with partnerships from The City of Calgary Parks, Alberta Health Services and Golden Acres Gardens teamed up to plant one tree for every child born in 2002. As a result, 7000 trees are in this scenic ‘mini-forest’ on the Sarcee Trail north-east entrance to Silver Springs. For more information on other Birth Forests in Calgary, see this article by Calgary City News.
If you’re in the area, here’s a couple more caches to put on your route:
• Let’s Play Ball, GC29VV5 by Eiznekcam located in the soccer field just across from the Silver Springs shopping centre.
• Gecko Cache, GC1QZW8 by Pirates of the Bow. Nice large container for tradeables and other goodies. You won’t believe this one isn’t constantly muggled!
Have a great weekend and carpe cache!
