Disclosure: this story is written by a member of the Intelligent Designs Media team.

Cable "cutting", or the process of transitioning from traditional cable television services to other less expensive options, like Roku and Chromecast, is becoming more and more popular among adults. And, as the rise in cable costs and number of less expensive digital services continue to grow, the cable cutting trend is not expected to go away any time soon.

But the biggest fear of those that continue to pay for traditional cable is the myth that transitioning to digital and online options ultimately means that they will lose out on some of their favorite programs. Thus, they continue to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars of month for cable based on, mostly, an irrational fear.

The truth is there are so many apps available now for Internet television, for instance: Amazon Prime, Showtime Now, HBO GO, Netflix and Hulu Plus, that at worst, you may have to wait until the next day to watch your favorite show. And the flip side of the coin is that you are potentially saving hundreds of dollars a month in return.

Doesn't sound too bad at all, right?

But Steve Neville, of Intelligent Designs Media, wants to help you further eliminate the fear of cutting cable and walk into the world of Internet television confidently. And he does so by offering customized cable cutting plans catered to the shows you watch and the programs you can't live without.

"I have been a cable 'cutter' for three years now, and over that time I have watched the number of programs available for Internet TV rise exponentially," Neville said. "We're at a point in digital TV now where the switch is virtually painless, in terms of losing out on programming, and the financial savings to the customer are ridiculous."

Here's how the team's customized plans work: You meet with Steve and his team via phone, email, Skype, or even in person if you live in Indianapolis, and discuss your favorite shows, movies and programs. Together, you and Steve make a list of must-have's and priorities. Steve then uses his knowledge of all the apps and programs out there to figure out which ones you will need if you cut your cable, and your total cost to you per month. Everything is then presented in an easy-to-read document and Steve will work with you via email until your transition is complete.

"We had a client who was paying hundreds a month for cable and was worried she would miss 'Downton Abbey'," Neville added. "In ten minutes I showed her how she could use 'rabbit ears' for PBS and add Hulu Plus for the rest of her shows. At the end of the day, she's now watching the same shows she used to for less-than $10 a month."
