The ultimate food festival is here: Eat Drink SF. Formerly known as SF Chefs, this is the event that celebrates California’s food, wine and spirits. Having expanded to more events occurring more frequently throughout San Francisco, you’ll be busy for the next month.
Every Saturday in July, find well-known chefs working with unusual ingredients at the Ferry Building Farmers Market. On Sunday, July 13th, get it on at the Lamb Jam – enjoy lamb done a variety of ways by popular local chefs and cheer on your favorite in a throw down. Also this month, crawl through some of the Chronicle’s top 100 bars without leaving the magnificent top floor of the Westin Union Square.
You’ll find this preparation helpful for the Lexus Grand Tastings, this year at Ft. Mason. Beginning Friday, August 1 and extending through Sunday August 3rd, be treated to culinary obsessions, signature dishes, brunch bites and more from over 100 restaurants including Delfina, A16, Fog City, Copita, Stones Throw, Coachman, Central Kitchen and other greats.
Take time out from the Grand Tastings to indulge in a range of Specialty Beverage classes. Taste Washington wines and talk with the winemakers; get your brunch on with signature cocktails; explore Pinot Noir; blind taste wines with top sommeliers; savor bourbon whiskey and learn how to create the perfect Bloody Mary.
The community benefits from Eat Drink SF, too. Proceeds from several events will benefit nonprofits agencies including the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), No Kid Hungry, Slow Food San Francisco, Meals on Wheels of San Francisco, SF Marin Food Bank and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation.
Hurry and get your tickets while they last. For ticket information, schedule and more, visit www.eatdrink-sf.com.
