Bystander Revolution: Celebrities sharing words to combat cruelty

Bullying, cyberbullying, peer cruelty, teasing.

You can make a difference. Your words matter. Be the person that starts the change.
Bystander Revolution

These words and actions have been making headlines for the past several years, especially in Florida.

No matter what age you are, no one is immune to being a victim of a bully.

What we do have control over is our own actions. Becoming a person that lends a hand, reaches out to others that are struggling with difficulties such as being harassed or harmed.

Bystander Revolution was founded by author and parent MacKenzie Bezos to create a source of direct, peer-to-peer advice about practical things individuals can do to help defuse bullying. The ultimate goal is the discussion and spread of simple habits of leadership, kindness, and inclusion.

What can one person do to help?

A lot! Make it your goal everyday to find someone that needs a lift, a smile or simply a hello. Start taking notice of the kids that eat alone, sit alone on the playground or maybe seem sad. Reach out with sincerity.

If you see someone being teased, don't be that bystander -- do something. It matters.
