Minister Byron Cage aka 'the prince of praise' is welcoming new opportunities into his life. The gospel singer is on his way to reality television, plus he is being signed to a new record label.

Cage is noted for leading praise and worship with great fire and enthusiasm. He has publicly spoken about his heart for worship and love for God being the focal point rather than his talent or musical skills. This Michigan native is an renowned singer and music arranger who has made a major impression in the Gospel music industry for numerous years. He has brought us songs that have assisted in ushering worshipers into the Presence of the Lord, and has served as a mentor to many worship and music leaders.

What has hit the headlines is that Cage has stepped down from his duties as a minister of music. Cage's last night as minister of music for St. Paul's Baptist Church in Richmond, Va. was New Year's Eve. With new and fresh opportunities that have knocked on his door, time will not permit him to perform his music ministerial duties and give the needed focus to his roles on not one, but two reality television shows.

Cage is embracing the newness with excitement and looks forward to the heights of this pristine window of opportunity. He is in no way denouncing his love for ministry, but he is ready for new goals and endeavors.

Cage will make an announcement next week regarding his new journey at the Stellar Awards event that is taking place in Nashville, Tenn. We are looking forward to what he will reveal as he turns the page for the next chapter of his life.
