Information and knowledge are easily obtained in the age of technology, internet, and computers. People are able to get this content at their finger tips through cell phones, tablets/iPads, and lap tops/desk tops. A word is placed in a popular search engine that will bring results of hundreds even thousands of choices. The topic can be thoroughly researched and data gathered that fits the purpose. A good decision can be made with a more educated understanding of the subject.

God has information, knowledge, and understanding about all things. He is the Creator and has all the data needed on a topic. There is no one besides the only God that can give accurate information on people, places, animals, and things. He will give understanding to those who ask Him. He gives it generously and will not hold back.

The Holy Bible speaks knowledge and understanding called wisdom. Wisdom is obtaining an understanding based on the evidence presented and making the right decision. Reverence of God is the beginning of wisdom. Jesus, God’s Son, walked in wisdom and taught others. Wisdom helps a person avoid evil actions and speech. Discernment is another word for wisdom. It being able to know what is right and act accordingly.

The results of wisdom will include evidence of right decisions. A person will be stable and/or established in their home, work, business, etc. He or she will recognize when an opportunity is not for them and choose the righteous path. They are careful with the words that come out of their mouth and avoid evil communication. The treasure of their heart is to serve God, the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Challenge: Believers, get wisdom and understanding! Let your conduct be an example to others of being established and filled with the treasures of the awesome God.
