There’s a new way to save money at the pump … and you can do it with a quick click on your phone. Framingham based Cumberland Farms has launched a new app that lets you save 10 cents on every gallon of gas, every day.
The program is called SmartPay Check-Link. You save money every time you use it to pay for filling up. It's free to join so there’s no reason not to! And you can link the mobile app right to your checking account so it makes paying even easier.
Wondering how it works? To fill up your tank, all you have to do is enter the pump number into the app. The pump will automatically turn on and withdraw the appropriate amount from your checking account. No cash or credit card needed and each gallon you get will be 10 cents off.
And the program isn’t just good for gas; you can also make in-store purchases using your phone. But the only savings there is time.
To get started, simply sign up at the Cumberland Farms website, then download the SmartPay app for free to your iPhone or Android.
No smart phone. No problem. You can still join the program. You just have to pick up a SmartPay card at participating Cumberland Farms/Gulf locations.
