It's that time of year again when stores are doing their case lot sales. For those of you who don't know, a case lot sale is where the store sells you cases of the product (so like 6 bottles of juice in the box) at a discounted rate instead of buying individually. Not only is this a great time to save a lot of money on items that you use everyday but also to build up your food storage because you bought more than you would use a 2-3 week period.
Make sure you stay within your budget, but try and stock up on as much as you can of the items you use the most. This is also a great way to save on groceries if you live in a more rural area and don't have many places to shop so it is more expensive.
Try and keep track of how much you paid for certain items and that way you will know, next time around or even when you go shopping and check the sales, if you are getting a good deal or not.
It doesn't matter if you buy only a few cans or three cases, make sure you put the items that you already have at the front and then add all of the new items to the back. This is called cycling and it will make it so that you won't have a lot of expired food (if any).
