Enjoy the holiday production of A Child's Chistmas in Wales performed at the Buttonwood Tree on Sunday, December 12 at 7 p.m. This is the perfect holiday performance for children and adults with music and stories about Christmas in the early 1900's. Written by Dylan Thomas performer Peter Loffredo brings this production to life with great music by Eric Esposito on the piano. Donations of $5 are suggested and persishable food item. This is sponsored by the Connecticut Heritage Productions.
On December 13, enjoy the poetry of the Middlesex Community College from 6 to 9 p.m. No charge but donations are welcome or perishable food item for the Amazing Grace Soup Kitchen. Do you enjoy belly dancing than on December 14 at 8 p.m.The Evening Oasis performs with exotic dancers, and great music. A $5 donations is suggested. On Friday, December 16 at 8 p.m. enjoy the music of songwriter and muscian Dave Hogan. His music is described as bluegrass and acoustic Americana. Cost is $8. On September 17th enjoy the music of The Jolly Beggars with Celtic folk music and storytelling by the five member of the group. Several of the members teach music at different school in CT. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
On December 18 bring your child to the oranament decorating event sponsored by the Middletown Parks and Recreation from 10 to 1 p.m. This is at the Buttonwood Tree music and snacks will be available. On December 20 to relieve stress try laughter yoga with instructor Mylene Poitras for free. The class involves breathing, stretching, and exercise. It is at 7 p.m.
