Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center Continues Exciting Music and Art Programs January 2011

This past Saturday, Jan 15 B Flat Tin Hat an excting jazz band that blends many forms of music played at the Buttonwood Theater to full house. The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center continues its exciting program of music on the weekends. It is located at 605 Main Street in Middletown, CT. On Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. the Deni Bonet Trio plays. She is a singer, violinist and guitar player. Jan 22 at 8 p.m. enjoy jazz guitarist Dan Arcomone perform. He is high energy and very entertaining. Jan 28 present Andy Buzzi and Harry T guitar players, singer and multi instrumentalist.

There is a Poetry Slam on January 23, for teens 13-19 years old that begin at 3 p.m. Teens should come with at least three poems and be familar with the rules of competition. Jan 29 at 6:30 p,m. The Riverwood Poetry Festival features Marianela Medrano a writer and counselor. She combines literature and psychology in her work.  At  8 p.m. there is a program of Storytelling called Show and Tell. This program is free.
