The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts and Cultural Center in Middletown continues with some exciting music and arts programs in July for local Connecticut residents. On Friday, July 8th The Bluebottles weill perform at 8 p.m. The group has Stephen Campiglio a poet and Continuing Education Coordinator at Manchester Community College. Matthew Bister is a singer and song writer that plays acoustic piano and has performed in many local bands. Jay Wood the drummer graduated from University of North Texas Jazz/Percussion program.On July 9 at 8 p.m. The Colin Wade Quartet will perform at 8 p.m. The group will entertain you wil an exciting jazz program. Colin Wade holds a B.M. in Jazz Studies from Western CT State College. Tom Morcaldi is the guitarist, Ian Tait is a jazz bassist and Ryan Dunne is on drums. The admission for both shows is $10.
On July 9, 16, 23 and 30th from 10:30 to noon a series of spirtual workshops will be offered with Annaitia a hoistic healer from India. The cost of the program is $5. The first workshop is Aligned With the Source Workshop for Empowerment, Holism and Six Aspects of Wholistic Health. On July 11 calling all entertainers Open Mike with J-Cherry from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sign up is from 7:30 pm. to 8 p.m. Bring your own insturments unless you use congas or piano. Refreshements are served at most events. There is a bookstore that sells books and CD's.
