Praise dancers are like “butterflies.” Why do you say that? Look at how beautiful butterflies are created, they come in different colors and styles; they hadn’t always been beautiful butterflies; at one time all butterflies were only caterpillars, plain old caterpillars, with no beautiful colors or wings to fly. God decided to make the caterpillar fall into a deep sleep, inside of a cocoon, and when the caterpillar had awakened, he had been transformed into a beautiful butterfly with beautiful colors and wings to fly. When the praise dancers enter into the presence of the Lord at the altar in front of the congregation, they are covered with the anointing of the Lord, their minds are transformed, his grace is upon them, and they become transformed into beautiful lyrical instruments of praise, they look like angels with wings; who dance to His glory, making a joyful noise, “flowing about, as the Spirit guides; dancing in the Spirit ; like the winds from a tidal wave, flowing free like a dove.” Like butterflies, praise dancers are set free, leaping, turning, jumping with joy and praise, like merrymakers and butterflies!” When we see a butterfly it gives us joy and makes us smile; praise dancers are called by God, commanded by God to bring praise, to dance and spread their arms like wings of praise, bringing joy to the people, glory and honor to God”
God commands us to:
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; Praise him with loud clashing cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise Ye the LORD! (Psalm 150:1-6).
