Hot off the presses (or off of Butch Walker's website) are the new tour dates for the latest Butch Walker & The Black Widows tour. Beginning on October 6th in Athens, Georgia (of course) and ending on November 2nd in Fort Lauderdale, BW & the BW are set to visit the Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown Minneapolis on October 12th. I just checked, and that's a Wednesday night for all of you who were wondering. Either way, school and/or work is never an excuse to miss Butch Walker.

I've lost count of how many times I've seen Butch Walker live, but this is somewhere between 10 and 15. When you've been to as many concerts in your lifetime as I have, you tend to forget about a lot of them until a friend or a ticket stub reminds you. Either way, Butch Walker is one of the five or so artists who I never, ever miss when he goes on tour. It's always a tremendous live show. There hasn't been one person who I've taken to a BW show that wasn't blown away by the end of the show. (I said "blown away", not "blown").

Another great thing about a Butch Walker show is the bands he chooses as his opening acts. Among the artists who I saw for the first time at a Butch Walker show are American Hi-Fi, Rocket, Cary Brothers, The Honorary Title, Imogen Heap and many more. I don't need to explain his bio from the days of Southgang and Marvelous 3 to the many artists he's written hit songs for, so if you don't know much about Butch Walker, the Internet is your friend.

Anyway, on-sale dates for tickets aren't up yet so keep checking back. Here are the tour dates announced so far:

Said Butch about the tour and what's coming up:

yes, it’s that time of the year when we start getting our livers in shape for something very special. it only comes once a year. it brings much unpredictable excitement and lots of loose nights and challenging mornings. no, not Oktoberfest…… A BUTCH WALKER & THE BLACK WIDOWS TOUR!!!!!!!!!

i know… i know… i just peed myself a little bit with excitement too. isn’t it awesome?? We are gearing up for some fun exclusive fan opportunities to get to interact with the band, and also promising the BEST SETLIST EVER™ for a pretty awesome time. our buddies Mike and Cary Ann (Shovels and Rope) will be joining us, as will another special and awesome support act TBA. we want this to be a family affair, so we promise lots of guest appearances and last minute song ideas. hey, life is short… make it fun.

.......

then, we promise to come see our far away friends in Europe, and working on Japan and Australia maybe for early next year. God, i am so excited I can hardly stand it!

Oh! we also have a few cool visuals coming at you in the next few…
new video for Summer of ‘89, shot by our buddy Shane Valdez that is fun and awesome. a little exclusive studio live take of a cut from the record

there’s also a documentary that we are wrapping up that is promised to be a very insightful look into our world, if you are interested. i’ve been working closely with Peter Harding and Shane Valdez on it, as they followed me all over the globe to get a glimpse of life in a rock n roll band. should be good fun for all.

For more information, check out his official website, Facebook page, YouTube page, or follow BW on Twitter. Hope to see many of you at the Minneapolis show!
